The Mann Lab sends a warm farewell to Genetics and Development student and long-time lab member Davys Lopez, who successfully defended his PhD last year, but stayed on in the lab to finish a few experiments. His work in the lab resulted in two papers, one published in PLOS Biology (doi: 10.1371/journal.pbio.3003030) and one in Genes & Development (doi: 10.1101/gad.352936.125).
Davys is now applying his formidable experimental skills to human reproductive health, working at an IVF clinic run by NYU Langone Medical School. We will miss Davys and wish him the best of luck. We are confident he will always remember his flies and dream of axon branching, no matter what he does next!
